Parental participation is encouraged in the education process, including Title I services. Parents of students eligible for Title I services are encouraged to assist in developing and implementing district programs, activities, and procedures designed to carry out the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA). Each school building offers flexible opportunities for parent participation, and parents can work directly with the building principal to gain such access.

The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) provides New York State with an opportunity to leverage significant federal resources in support of New York State’s commitment to providing equity, access, and opportunity for all students.

The Marion Elementary School is designated as a Title 1 school and annually holds a Title I meeting for parents.
