Discrimination and Harassment Policies

The Marion Central School District does not discriminate in employment practices or access to educational programs or services on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, political affiliation, sex, age, marital status, or disability. In addition, the Marion CSD expressly prohibits all forms of sexual harassment by and between both students and employees.

In this regard, the school district operates in full compliance with all state and federal laws including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Complete statements on these issues are included in the policy handbook of the Board of Education.

Mr. Richard Walker, Director of Finance and Operations, is the official responsible for ensuring compliance with non-discrimination and harassment policies and for receiving complaints relating to these matters.
